ABSTRACT: The intended learning points of this presentation focus on highlighting the need to use appropriate purchase, rebuild, and repair standards, specifications, and acceptance testing in order to convey the purchasers interest in obtaining "good" machines/services and the up front knowledge that machines will be evaluated at various stages of the "activity" often including factory acceptance testing at the manufacturer (if possible) and on-site post installation testing and evaluation. This presentation uses case histories to support the needs for specifications and testing.
