Peggy Tarnowieckyi is a MIQA and Reliability Engineer for DuPont in Dayton. She is a Category 3 Vibration Analyst and an API inspector for 510, 570 and 650. She enjoys field work and solving a good problem or puzzle. In her free time, she bikes, kayaks, reads and hikes. She has three grown kids, two cats and one husband.

Bernard Boueri works in the Machine Dynamics Group at Ontario Power Generation. The Machine Dynamics Group supports vibration diagnostics across the OPG fleet including steam, gas and hydro turbines, and all auxiliary equipments. A graduate from the University of Florida in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Category IV certified vibration analyst by the Vibration Institute.
Bernard has been involved in troubleshooting hydro units for the past 20 years. Recently was involved in the commissioning of 6 new hydro units as part of the Lower Mattagami River expansion.
Bernard will present case studies - two different ways of mitigating high vibrations due to structural natural frequencies. Attendees will learn about resonance, impact test, modal analysis, dynamic absorber.
